New listings . . . . .

I've put my tote bags like the one I had on my Quilts blog giveaway up for sale on Etsy.

The cost of each is $13.50 plus shipping of $3.50.  If the actual shipping is less than $3.50, then I will refund through PayPal.

Each of the bags are quilted and lined.  They are 8" wide x 11" high x 4" deep.  The perfect size for carrying a book to the doctor's office, bible to Sunday School, applique or other handwork.

One of the favorite uses I have heard is as a 'Toddler Bag'.  Just the right size for a few diapers and a change of clothes.  My toddlers were always spilling something on them while we out and about.  I didn't want to carry a whole diaper bag.  This would have been perfect if I had thought of that way back then!

Busy dying . . . . . wool. . . . .

I just spent the last two days dying wool and have some wonderful new colors!

Butter . . . .

Rose . . . .

Green #1 . . . .

Green #2 . . . .

Some blue/green color . . . .

This is Pumpkin Patch, already on the web but I just had to show you how the plaid looked over-dyed with the pumpkin.

Green #1 and #2 are two different colors but didn't photograph well.  I hope they scan better.  The reason for the names is....the colors to me didn't look like the name of the recipe I used.  So I think I will have to come up with new names.  Either that or number them all!  This naming is harder than I thought.  I had wanted to give all my wools some significant Southern name but just don't feel THAT creative yet.

In the meantime, I am off to scanning them and putting them on the website.  Hopefully I will come up with some cute name soon!

One class is full already . . . . .

I will be teaching two wool classes at the annual Quilters of South Carolina retreat this October

This one called "Woolie Pincushions".  Not a very original name but it was all I could come up with.  LOL

And a second class called "The Wonderful World of Wool" which features a needlekeeper.

The outside front is in the picture above and the picture below is the inside.

The pincushion class is already full !!  I don't remember if "FULL" means 15 or 20 students. Either way, I am a little intimidated now!  I know all will work out in the end.  I'm just thrilled that that many people like my class.  I better deliver.

Introducing my new website.....

After several false starts, I have decided on a name and a direction for the next part of my life.

I have the home page set up.  Most of the wools are already on the "Hand-dyed Wool" page.  I have a long way to go but it's a good start.

My first show as a vendor is August 27th and 28th in Anderson, South Carolina.  I don't know if I could be ready before then.  Lots of wool to dye, patterns to write, booth to design, etc.  Busy, busy, busy........

There is a complete schedule on the "Schedule" page.

For now, I am going to duplicate at least the business stuff on this  blog and my original Shakerwood Primitives blog until I have more followers on this one.

If you see any broken links anywhere, please let me know.  It took a lot longer to set up the website.  After looking at it for so long, there is no telling what I wrote!

Welcome to my new blog.....

I don't have everything up and running yet but I don't really like looking at this blog without a post.  Here it is.  And since no post is complete without a picture..........

Here is a sign of things to come.  This wool dying thing is really fun.  I hope this blog reflects that.  Stay tuned......
